Canoeing on the River Fowey. The best way to see Cornwall.

Another day off, seriously guys I can’t believe my luck! This time we dusted off our poor neglected canoe and drove down to Penmarlam boat yard

We got on the water late morning and enjoyed the best day of weather yet this year.

Lots of amazing bird life which didn’t mind us pootling along at all – this is the closest I’ve ever got to a heron.

When we were paddling past Golant, a guy was leaning over the water and he called over to us “would you rather be anywhere else in the world?” Er, no!

A beautiful day out in indeed.

The Cornish Mizzle (Mist + Drizzle) has set in today, hope it’s nicer where you are x
