Ugly Duckling…

This adorable little critter is the first of our hatchers this year. She is a bit of an orphan having been laid by a hen & hatched by a duck and is now under this foster mummy hen. Due to her unusual start in life she has been aptly named Cuckoo!

The sweet little hen who is looking after her so well is still sitting on her own nest of 11 eggs, they are due to hatch the end of this week and our duck eggs are due any day now so we are about to over run with little feathered critters!!
